Nice to finally get a remastered “Black Sheets..” for sure. Just wish Demon could make up for the lack of attention paid to Kirsty’s vinyl catalog in particular. For instance: the original cover art for ‘Beaster’ prepared you for the experience – a visceral blast that’s about as thrilling and intense as guitar-based alt rock gets. Two cds out of 24 is a pretty low ratio, even if the price is fair. Bob announces it and shows a non working amazon.com link and ignoring all work responsibilities I try to click through every five minutes or so until it finally went live the next day. Today, I would drop a needle on HD before anything else in the expansive catalogue. That’s consistency, folks. I’m afraid this time the went too far, lots of useless gadgets to sell some kind of movie inspired to last album…. I’m not quite to the stage of buying lavish box sets just because I appreciate the project of putting them together. I ordered the standard edition for a very reasonable price at amazon.de and now they cancelled it because they couldn‘t get hand on it. Sugar’s gig at Brixton when they played the whole of Beaster, in order, as an encore is up in the top five of hundreds of gigs for me, a breath-taking assault on the ears that left me gobsmacked.
